  Super Weekend

Mukilteo tickets/maps are now available at The Quiltmaker’s Shoppe

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Spring!  I can tell it’s spring because Christmas fabric is starting to show up inside the cardboard boxes UPS drops off here almost every day!  Christmas – in May.  Only a quilter can understand that timing.  But, Christmas isn’t all that is arriving!  Knitting Sheep have shown up again and a beautiful Rose border print with a few coordinates to make those fast table runners.  The Row by Row fabrics will be here very soon, AND, the Forest Floor Block of the Month Batiks!  May 1st is the start of sign-ups for this BOM and you will want to get on the list ASAP, especially if you want to join the classroom fun.  We are limiting the class size but will have kits available for those of you that prefer to work at your own pace at home.  You can come in and see the fabrics and the pattern, the quilt itself should be up by mid-May.

Now, on to what is coming up!  Row by Row of course!!  While the Shoppe is not in the Washington State Shop Hop this year the Row by Row starts on June 21st, during the first week of Shop Hop so you can come see us on your travels!  I plan to have lots of fun things going on during the 2 weeks of the Shop Hop – demos, door prizes and great sales -so put us on your personal passport and stop by!  It will be worth the side trip.  I’ll be putting more information out as I get my planning finished, right now it’s just all in my head.  (I will tell you that, in my head, we’re having a great time!)

Thanks to the great gang in the Mystery Class!  What a good way to spend a Sunday.  And to those who come in to finish things on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month!  We do have fun.  Finally, as the weather heats up I want to post a reminder here that it can get too hot to shop (much less work) in here when the temps soar into the upper 80’s and the 90’s.  The Finish it Friday class will probably go on hiatus the end of June and, on other days, if we hit a hot streak we will close the Shoppe early.  If you are thinking of coming in, and it’s really hot outside, call the shop and check.   Any changes to regular store hours will be on the voicemail.

Enjoy the season!
